Delete your account and data

MEEYO is yours. You can delete your account at any time — no reason needed, no questions asked, no email required.

How it works

Sign in to the MEEYO app or on meeyo.ch.
Open “Account”.
Tap “Delete account” and confirm with your password.
Done. You get a confirmation by email.

30 days to change your mind

A 30-day period starts when you request deletion. During it your profile is invisible to everyone and you are signed out. Sign in again before it ends and one tap cancels the deletion — everything stays. After 30 days it is deleted, permanently and irreversibly.

What gets deleted

All your photos — the files themselves, not just the records.
Your profile: name, date of birth, bio, interests, wishes, job, religion, location and all protected details.
Your email address, your password and all sign-ins.
Every message you wrote, plus your swipe decisions, blocks and conversations with MEE.
Your consents and your sessions on every device.
An active subscription is stopped when you request deletion — nothing is charged again.

What stays — and why

To be straight with you: three things we cannot delete, because the law or other people require them.

Messages your chat partners received from you stay with them — shown as “Deleted user”. Your own copy is gone. We cannot take mail back out of someone else's letterbox.
We keep invoices and commission statements for ten years — required by accounting law (Art. 958f Swiss CO).
Moderation decisions (reports, blocks) stay twelve months, so that excluded people cannot open a new account the next day. Your IP address is erased after seven days.

Delete only some data

You don't have to give up the whole account. You can remove individual photos, individual chats and your location sharing in your profile at any time, with no other effect. And under “Account” → “My data” you download everything we hold about you — a ZIP with JSON files and your photos.

Can't get in?

Write to support@meeyo.ch from the email address you signed up with. We delete your account by hand and confirm it to you. Answer within 30 days, usually the same day. support@meeyo.ch
